In the lead-up to one of Africa’s most anticipated events—the Africa Infrastructure, Climate Change, and Investment Summit, AICIS 2025—momentum continues to build as high-level engagements sweep across the continent.
The Planning and Organizing Committee (POC) of AICIS 2025, led by its Chairman, Hon. Moses O.T. Owharo, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Permanent Representative (PR) to the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Amb. Musa Nuhu, at the ECOWAS Liaison Office in Asokoro, Abuja.
What’s the Big Deal?
This wasn’t just a protocol visit—it was a powerful diplomatic alignment.
With West Africa facing critical climate and infrastructure challenges, the synergy between national initiatives and regional policy is no longer optional—it’s urgent. AICIS 2025, designed as a high-impact platform for climate diplomacy, sustainable investment, and infrastructure collaboration, is now receiving solid regional backing from ECOWAS leadership.
During the meeting, the committee and H.E. Amb. Musa Nuhu discussed harmonizing AICIS 2025 objectives with the ECOWAS Climate Change Policy Blueprint, ensuring strategic alignment with United Nations climate frameworks. https://aicisnigeria.abvig.com/aicis-2025-strategic-alignment-with-global-and-regional-climate-infrastructure-green-investment-goals/

In his remarks, Amb. Musa Nuhu expressed strong appreciation for the summit’s objectives and called the initiative “a noble task” that reflects both continental urgency and global relevance. He assured the delegation of the ECOWAS Commission’s full support, committing to strategic collaboration that will bolster the summit’s execution and reach.
Present at the meeting were notable climate and development champions including H.E. Amb. Mobolaji Ogundero and Engr. Chris Agina, both key members of the AICIS Planning Committee.

Why This Matters
